The dept, is equipped with two full fledged modern Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) cameras with digital imaging system and another conventional camera unit, Ophthalmic Ultrasound, Electrophysiological tests (outside collaboration). Laser Treatment for various retinal conditions is available, and dept. boasts of a fully equipped laser unit, which includes diode laser and two modern double frequency YAG laser unit with both slit lamp and indirect delivery modes. The latest to join the armamentarium is - OCT(Optical Cohorence Tomography), TTT(Trans Puppillary Thermotheraphy), and PDT(Photodynamic Therapy) form of laser therapy specifically for ARMD patients for whom earlier no treatment was available. Laser Photocoagulation may require single or multiple sessions according to the condition of the patient. Photocoagulation is done as an outpatient procedure and does not require hospitalization.
